When will my first box arrive?
Subscribe by the 25th of the month and your box dispatches on the 1st of the following month, arriving within 1–3 working days — just in time for that month's first Saturday session. Subscribe after the 25th and you'll be set up for the month after.
What age is the Play Lab for?
The Play Lab is designed for children aged 5–10. Activities are chosen to be engaging and achievable for this range, with light parental guidance needed for younger children.
How does the pricing and discount work?
A single one-off box costs £30. Subscribe and you immediately pay just £27/month — a 10% saving. Stay subscribed past 6 months and your discount automatically increases to 15%, bringing your monthly price down to £25.5 — forever, for as long as you're subscribed. Please note that cancelling and rejoining resets your discount period back to month 1.
What's the difference between a one-off box and a subscription?
Both include the monthly craft box and full access to that month's 4 Saturday sessions — including voting, the quiz and all activities. The difference is the community experience. Subscribers accumulate points, compete for monthly prizes, get a skills passport, monthly lookbook, birthday surprise, access to our members WhatsApp community and a loyalty discount that grows automatically after 6 months. A one-off box gives your child a brilliant month. A subscription gives them a community and a journey.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. No minimum commitment and no cancellation fees. Cancel anytime through your account and you won't be charged again. Please note that rejoining after cancelling resets your loyalty discount period back to month 1.
What if my child misses a Saturday session?
Sessions are recorded and shared once with that month's members the following Monday — so your child can still watch what happened. However the live experience, points, voting and prizes are only available to those who attend in person. Sessions are not available on demand after the Monday share. We encourage attendance every week to get the full Play Lab experience!
Is the Saturday session supervised?
Yes — every session is hosted and co-hosted by Paragon Hub team members. It's a safe, fully moderated environment. We recommend a parent remains nearby for children under 7. All hosts hold a valid DBS check and sessions are run in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
Do I need to buy anything extra?
No — everything needed for all 5–6 activities is included in every box. Just add enthusiasm and a child who loves making things!
Can the Play Lab be gifted?
Yes! It makes a wonderful gift. Simply subscribe with the recipient's delivery address and we'll take care of the rest. Gift messaging coming soon!
What technology do I need for Saturday sessions?
Just a device with a camera and microphone — laptop, tablet or phone all work. Sessions run on Microsoft Teams which is free to download and use.
Is my child's safety protected online?
Absolutely. All sessions use a secure waiting room — every child is admitted manually by the host. Only registered participants with a completed parental consent form are admitted. Sessions are never publicly accessible. Read our full Safeguarding Policy at paragonhubgroup.com/pages/safeguarding.
Do I need to complete anything before my child's first session?
Yes — a short parental consent form must be completed before your child joins their first session. You'll receive the link automatically in your welcome email after subscribing. No child will be admitted without a completed consent form on file.
